The theater department will present its 2014 children’s show, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Nov. 21-22, in the Blackbox theater. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the public. There is a Saturday matinee performance at2 p.m. Tickets cost $5 for students and $10 for adults, and can be purchased Thursday during lunch in the Chap Court, as well as at the door during performances.

Senior Taylor Ruthven, who plays Mr. Bean, is excited for the community to see a well-known show.

“It’s a goofy, fun show,” Taylor said. “Most people have seen Fantastic Mr. Fox and know and love the story. It’ll be fun for them to see people they know [performing] it.”

Taylor’s favorite part of the children’s show is performing for second, third and fourth grade students at Eanes, Bridge Point, Valley View and Barton Creek elementary schools. These performances occur on Nov. 24-25 at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

“I’m most excited to perform for all the kids because there’s such a different excitement performing for them,” Taylor said. “They wonder at everything and get into thinking that we are the characters [that we play.] It’s just fun to feel their energy.”
