Julia Franco, Editor-in-Chief and Head Photographer
Julia Franco is currently a senior and photographer/editor-in-chief of the Featherduster. As part of her role in
newspaper class, she hopes to be able to create three printed issues this school year as well as increase the
content produced on the Featherduster’s website and teach photography to those interested. Her favorite animal,
a dolphin, compliments her friendly personality and intelligence while having some interesting quirks of their
own such as having great skin and being able to head butt sharks. When taking time away from school or other
extracurriculares, she may find herself collecting coffee table books with pictures and captions as a fun, unique
hobby. Additionally, she loves hip-hop dancing and is scuba certified. Along with these talents, Julia has also
repelled down the side of a 42 story building — twice! Her special happy place is located in the waters of the
Florida Keys when she is scuba diving or snorkeling because she finds that when she’s underwater, all her
worries stay on the surface, allowing her to find comfort in the ocean. When not underwater, she finds joy in
being with the people she loves.
