EISD Educator of the Year Kitty Mellenbruch speaks in front of her colleagues at convocation. She was awarded Campus Educator of the Year along with seven other EISD teachers, and was named EISD Educator of the Year after the committee recognized her devotion to teaching and her success in using Social Emotional Learning in the classroom.

Both girls are members of Cheer, and are waiting in between performances. Watching Chips and Queso was a good way to take a break from their tiring routines.

On Sept 1, in the Black Box Theatre, the Westlake Improv Troupe (more commonly known as WIT) had their first performance of the year. Sophomore Jemima Abalogu is starting the show off strong, and getting people to laugh just by introducing herself. Apart from entertaining the audience, one thing the group was doing was collecting donations to help victims of Hurricane Harvey.
