The Duff hits theaters

DUFF: Designated Ugly Fat Friend. A term used quite often in the movie, The Duff. It is a teen romance that’s actually very funny. I got tears in my eyes from laughing so hard when I saw it. So did my 75 year-old grandmother. All ages love it.

The Duff is about a high school senior girl named Bianca (Mae Whitman), who has an awakening when her friend from childhood, Wesley (Robbie Amell), calls her a Duff. Bianca takes this quite harshly and decides to reinvent herself with the help of Wesley, a popular jock and “lady killer,” in exchange for science tutoring. Just like any other typical teen flick, the movie is predictable. However, it has a few twists and turns that will still keep you on the edge of your seat in a charming matter.

The movie is still in almost every theater. I’ve already seen it twice, loving it even more the second time, and I would gladly see it again. I think it’s a fantastic movie for anyone who wants a feel-good, funny, romantic movie.
