Murals on South Congress reflect Austin’s diversity
Dictating what we can and cannot do, COVID-19 has taken over our lives in more ways than one. While stuck at home, we have an overabundance of free time that desperately needs to be filled. Living in the city of Austin, there are infinitely many things we can do; the city is full of outdoor activities, the capital and a groovy downtown. Since I live in Westlake, I very rarely venture to the heart of Austin, but with all of this free time I was granted the opportunity to experience Austin’s most Instagrammable murals for myself. On Sept. 6, I ventured to South Congress to explore all of the iconic murals and unique street art. This was a great way to get out of the house and maintain social distance with my friend junior Aubry Slattery.
