Horrible Bosses 2 entertains, leaves audience in stitches
For many mother-daughter duos, seeing movies together is usually an outing that is dreaded by the daughter and revered by the mother. But for my mother and me, seeing movies with each other has been something that has brought us closer as friends. So you would expect me to say that during the Thanksgiving break we went to see something sweet and heartwarming, right? Wrong. We went to see Horrible Bosses 2 the day after Thanksgiving. And both my mother and I loved it. We had seen the first one on TV and couldn’t contain our laughter. The second one did not disappoint. The film stars Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jason Bateman as our three lovable main characters who are best friends and have been through hell and back together.
This second film picks up in the months following the first installment. Dale (Day), Kurt (Sudeikis) and Nick (Bateman) have decided now that they are rid of their horrible bosses, they’re ready to become their own bosses with their new “shower buddy” invention. Things seem to be going well with the trio’s entrepreneurial endeavors until a nefarious investor backstabs them all in the name of money. What ensues is a culmination of calamity and hilarity. Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Aniston’s reprisals of their roles from the first film greatly enhance the film’s comedic chemistry. Overall, this film is perfect for any much-needed laughter during the upcoming holiday break.
