Potty philosophy- discovering the words of wisdom hidden in school bathroom stalls

Who knew a bathroom door lock manufacturer could have a sense of humor?

Socrates, Plato, Nietzsche, Ghandi and Confucius. The Ten Commandments, Hammurabi’s Code, Thomas Paine’s Common Sense, Tolstoy’s War and Peace; and now a new set of philosophical works join the vast ranks of great minds and musings of the human condition and life itself of ages past. Scrawled on the walls like the hieroglyphs of ancient Egypt, there is a treasure trove of knowledge hiding within the confines of our high school, (and I’ll give you a hint, it’s not in the classrooms). No, our source of inspiration comes from a much more humble but necessary location, and the impact can be vast. You probably visit them every day without realizing it, but they have been right under our noses (or dare I say, above our rears) the whole time. Ladies and gentleman, I give you … the words of wisdom from the bathroom stalls.
