The girls volleyball team played College Park Nov. 8 at College Park in College Station. The team was able to pull a victory in four games.

The Lady Chaps lost the first game, but rallied and were able to win the next three. The first set was a tough loss of 17-25. Then the girls took the next three games 25-23, 25-22 and 25-16 which won the whole match and advanced them to the Quarter-finals.

“We realized we needed to play for each other because it could be the last time we played as a team,” senior Cece Burbach said. “We also had beaten them before and knew we could win which gave us confidence.”

The Lady Chaps will now play Round Rock Nov. 12 at Rouse High School. If Westlake wins, the team will play the winner of Plano vs. Rockwall-Heath in the Semi-finals Nov. 15.
