Meet me midway

The Midway Food Park in Westlake is a family-friendly place for people to go get some great food. Located on Capital of Texas Highway, they have a variety of trailer vendors at the venue with many different styles of food. At Midway there is a stage for bands to play live music and a playground for children to have fun while the adults hang out.

“I come more with my family because I have a big family and there is a lot of variety, sophomore Taylor Delapaz said. My favorite place is Cheesecake Experience because their cheesecake bites are the perfect size and taste so good.”

Midway is a good place to have big parties because it’s a nice open space with eight food trailers. Each fall, the Westlake football program hosts Chap Fest there for the athletes and families of the school. It’s a big get together with games, food and lots of photo opportunities. It’s a fun way to kick off  the school year.

“Last year I went to Chap Fest and it was really fun because all my friends were there,” football player sophomore Drew Webster said.

Many of the workers at Midway said they found out about the place because of their friends and managers. Their busiest days are Saturdays and Sundays. Although their hours are different most days, the vendors post their schedules on their website. http://themidwayfoodpark.com/vendors/
